Navigating the journey of dyslexia can be challenging for families, especially when it’s unclear where to begin. Orton-Gillingham Learning Lab exists to provide clarity, guidance, and effective support every step of the way.
We are leading experts in dyslexia education, with highly trained educators who bring both deep expertise and a genuine passion for teaching.
At the Learning Lab, instruction is intentionally tailored to each student’s unique needs. We closely monitor progress to ensure quick growth and collaborate with all members of the student’s educational team to support optimal development.
Through specialized instruction, comprehensive progress monitoring, and a strong commitment to collaboration, OG Learning Lab is Central Connecticut’s only half-day and full-day program specifically designed to help students with dyslexia succeed.

All students engage in 1:1 OG instruction, 3:1 math instruction and 3:1 writing instruction. If a family wants the full day option, the AM schedule gets followed.

After students engage in AM schedule. Students have a lunch/ recess break. The students partake an Encore class (arts, music, STEAM, outdoor education, etc), Science Lab and Social Studies Lab. Option for additional after school support.

Is Financing Available?
Is Financing Available?
Yes! There are many opportunities for financial assistance. The first option is through Clarity. We also offer monthly payment schedules.
Families can choose from either an AM or PM session, which is half day. There is a full day option, however that is only available to students who attend the AM session. The specially designed PM program is developed to include Encore classes, science lab and social studies lab.

Are Learning Lab Teachers Certified?
Are Learning Lab Teachers Certified?
YES! All of the teachers within the Learning Lab are certified teachers through the state of Connecticut. Teachers are either special education certified or hold a certification as literacy specialist. All teachers have their Associates through the Academy of Orton-Gillingham or are in the process of obtaining it.

The Learning Lab is dedicating on providing 1:1 Orton-Gillingham instruction as well as providing small group instruction with the private school atmosphere.
Additionally, at the Learning Lab, our mission is to continue to foster the collaboration with educational teams.
Students are accepted from any location. We are located in central Connecticut, making the trip for most just under an hour.
