At the Learning Lab, our admissions process is designed to be transparent, supportive, and focused on your child’s individual strengths and needs. We take time to understand each student as both a learner and a person, ensuring the best possible fit for your child and your family.

The Learning Lab's priority application deadline is May 29th, 2026. Families are encouraged to complete Financial Aid applications as part of the admissions process. If you miss the deadline, please contact steven@saybrookreading.com to inquire about space availability and financial aid options.

How to Apply

Every student’s learning journey is unique. From the very beginning, we aim to connect with you personally to better understand your child’s needs and how we can best support your family. We invite you to complete our Student Program Inquiry form or contact us directly so we can walk you through the process.

We also encourage you to attend an informational visit to learn more about our distinctive programs. The Learning Lab offers several opportunities to connect, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of what we provide.

Application

When you’re ready to move forward, submit an online application along with supporting documents that help us get to know your child better.

We review:

Teacher questionnaires from at least two teachers
School records, including report cards, IEPs/504 plans, and other relevant documents
Evaluations from psychologists, therapists, or other specialists
Any additional information that may be helpful

Next Steps

Our team carefully reviews each application to understand your child’s strengths, needs, and learning style, ensuring we can provide the best possible support.

If we feel Hill School could be a good fit, we’ll warmly invite your family for a school visit, including a tour of our classrooms and a meeting with our admissions team.
